Pre-registration for the 43rd Annual Meeting is now closed. If you plan on attending the Annual Meeting and have yet to register, you must do so onsite at the Stowe Mountain Lodge during scheduled registration hours (see below).

Hotel Reservations

The 43rd Annual Meeting will be held at the Stowe Mountain Lodge in Stowe, VT. On behalf of our meeting attendees, the following special room rates have been secured over the dates of the meeting: $293/night (studio), $393/night (junior suite), $493/night (one bedroom suite) and $693/night (two bedroom suite). The hotel room rate is subject to applicable state and local taxes in effect at the time of check-out. Reservations must be made by Monday, August 22, 2016 to guarantee the group rate. After this deadline, or if the NESVS block of rooms sells out prior to the above mentioned deadline, availability and rates cannot be guaranteed.

2016 Program

The Annual Meeting is presented for the benefit of those physicians, surgeons, researchers, fellows, residents, medical students and allied health professionals involved in the study, treatment and cure of vascular disease. To view the 2016 program, click here.


2016 Postgraduate Course

The NESVS will kick off the 43rd Annual Meeting with a Postgraduate Course on making complex vascular surgery simple (when, why, how and avoiding pitfalls). Led by experts in the field, this course will provide detailed procedural information attendees can introduce into their practices. To view the 2016 Postgraduate Course outline, click here.

The 2016 Postgraduate Course will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 8:00 am – 12:30 pm. The fee for this course is $100 for attendees ($50 for students, resident and fellows). Advance registration is encouraged.


Student/Resident Initiative Program

In an ongoing effort to support medical students and residents looking to explore vascular surgery as a specialty, the New England Society for Vascular Surgery is offering a scholarship program to encourage attendance at the 43rd Annual Meeting and help off-set travel expenses. Scholarships will be awarded to 15 individuals on a first-come, first-serve basis. Medical students (PGY 2-4) and residents (PGY 1-5) attending an accredited program in the New England region are eligible. Fellows are not eligible.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of the American College of Surgeons and the New England Society for Vascular Surgery. The American College of Surgeons is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians.


The American College of Surgeons designates this live activity for a maximum of 13.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Please Note: Maximum credit for the scientific sessions is 9.50. The Postgraduate Course is by separate subscription and worth an additional 4.00 credits (for a total of 13.50).


Of the AMA PRA Category 1 Credits listed above, a maximum of 9.25 credits meet the requirements for Self-Assessment. Please Note: Self-Assessment credit for the scientific sessions is 5.25. The Postgraduate Course is by separate subscription and worth an additional 4.00 Self-Assessment credits (for a total of 9.50).





Target Audience

The Annual Meeting of the New England Society for Vascular Surgery is designed to provide 2 1/2 days of comprehensive educational experiences in the fields of vascular surgery and disease, related sciences and socioeconomic aspects of vascular surgical care.

It is the Society’s intent to bring together surgeons, physicians, researchers, fellows, residents, students and allied health professional from around New England to discuss their latest clinical and research findings on various topics in vascular surgery and to collaborate to construct a robust program on current controversies or topics within the vascular community.
